MFSE takes pride in its first-class handbook.  Every student, host parent, school administrator and agent we work with is provided an up-to-date hard copy of our handbook on an annual basis.  To see an overview of our handbook or to download handbook sections see below:

SECTION 1

Introducing Mutual Friends Student Exchange  This section introduces MFSE the agency, discusses our philosophies and speaks about why a student should remain under the guardianship of an agency.

SECTION 2

Programs and Services Offered by MFSE  This section discusses the various programs MFSE offers and discusses the types of students we serve.  It includes a simplified price-list of our services.

SECTION 3

Application to MFSE  This section identifies our essential paperwork and walks a prospective student through our application process. 

SECTION 4

About Exchange Programs  This section provides the student with information about the U.S. State Department which regulates visa, the types of visas and the rules governing our program.

SECTION 5

Acclimating to American Culture and Family Life  This section is designed to help an incoming student to remain safe and to acclimate to American culture, manners and expectations.

Student Information  This section provides direction on what to bring to the exchange experience as well as insight on how the MFSE program works.

The Schools We Serve  This section provides information about the K-12 schools with which MFSE partners including enrollment, tuition, sports and A.P. course offerings.

The Rules and Policies Governing Your Program  This section reviews the rules of the school-age program enumerated in the Agency Contract, providing further explanation and procedures for doing the most at MFSE.

SECTION 9

About the College-Age Program  This section explains how the various services MFSE provides can be used by college students and is designed to help hosted students fit into their host homes.

SECTION 10

Host Parent Guidelines  This section describes the role of the host parent and explains how the host parent is expected to function.

SECTION 11

MFSE Financial Information and Policies  This section clearly and straight-forwardly spells out MFSE’s charges and financial policies.

SECTION 12

Agency Forms  This section is made up of copies of MFSE paperwork which can be used to access a variety of privileges and then explains how to use that paperwork.
